The Center for Advanced Study of International Development (CASID) contributes to the support and expansion of campus resources related to international development, including the purchase of development-focused videotapes and DVDs. The CASID and Women and International Development (WID) audio-visual collections are available free of charge to MSU faculty for use in their classrooms.
Videos may be checked out for 72 hours from the CASID or WID office. The database provides a list of all videos, a short description and whether the video is located at the CASID or WID office. You can access the video database at http://db.oid.msu.edu/video/user/videoform.asp. If you are interested in reserving a video for a particular date in the semester, please do so at the video database. If you are not registered as a user, please contact Helen Farr, CASID Secretary, at (517) 353-8570.
The CASID and WID offices do not provide in-house video viewing for students. It is the faculty member's responsibility to make arrangements to show the video to students who miss the in-class viewing session.
