Michigan State University is recognized for its excellence and commitment to internationalizing K-12 education. Center for Advanced Study of International Development (CASID)-sponsored activities have contributed in substantial ways to this excellence. From students to teachers to teachers in training, CASID is dedicated to providing international experience that contributes to a greater awareness and understanding of the world.
CASID provides support for internationalizing education through programs such as LATTICE and Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad, which seek to provide K-12 teachers with an international background and experience. We are helping to develop a curriculum with the College of Educations's Global Cohort by supporting instructors' professional development. Finally, we support on- and off-campus activities that directly expose students to the value of a global understanding.
These programs and others were acknowledged when Michigan State University won the prestigious Goldman Sachs Prize for Excellence in International Education.
