Women and International Development Program
Michigan State University

The Center for Advanced Study of International Development (CASID) and Women and International Development (WID) Program at Michigan State University announces the availability of awards to support visiting scholars from post-secondary institutions to come to campus. Awards will defray the cost of travel to and from MSU, as well as cover room and board. CASID and WID staff will facilitate meetings with key MSU faculty in the visiting scholar's areas of interest, access to the MSU library, and participation in on-campus seminars and special events.

To apply for the CASID/WID Visiting Scholar Program, send the following materials to the CASID office:

  • a curriculum vitae
  • a letter detailing your area(s) of interest in the field of international development, including
    • how the program would impact your courses and/or institution (that is your expected outcome, a revised course syllabus for example);
    • dates you would be available to come to MSU; and
    • proposed duration of your stay (maximum of three days).

Please send materials to:
